Dota 2 Memes

Basically I have been watching some Dota on twitch lately and some people have been asking about all the shit twitch users spam in the chat. So I have decided to take it upon myself to compile as many as I can think of and I will update this list from time to time.

First and foremost the classic 322

Beautiful as it is, the hype is r

Whenever a team throws a leads in the game there will be spams of 322 all over the place. And when there is a counter throw there would be a 644 spam. I have seen it go as high as 1288 before, and gosh, twitch chat is cancer.

It all begun during the hot summer of 2013 whereby a player from Rox.Kis, Solo was given the opportunity to throw the game against zRage. Basically during the game he was playing shadow demon and played really out of position by walking into the entire enemy team and dying repeatedly. His team's overall poor performance couldn't outshadow his intentional throwing and he was called into investigation.

It was found that Solo actually won $322 by betting against his own team and the rest was history. He was said to be permanently banned from Starladder but they decided to be lenient and reduced his sentence to just a year. But all is well now for he's still playing the support role but he is doing decently at Virtus.Pro and is even the team captain. I guess the Dota 2 community is quite forgiving.

EXTRA 322

But the same could not be said for another case which involved Malaysian Dota, specifically, team arrow. During the course of Synergy league and some mini BTS cup competition, team Arrow suffered dramatic losses against teams that were supposedly weaker. Mind you, team Arrow actually made it to the International so that says a lot about their potential. He even tried to defend himself with some shit reddit post. But his shenanigans got exposed by BabyOling and they decided to confess to their mistakes. They had threw it all away, as DDZ and Lance decided to get their girlfriend to bet on their opponents just for some extra cash.

They got their punishment and was served with a permanent ban from all Valve competitions. I guess not throwing games isn't 2EZ4DDZ eh.

More recently there was another 322 incident related to S1 Lykos. They had really questionable plays as summarised by PorcelainLily. Apparently on some betting site there was a swing in bets whereby they bet on the opponents and the winnings were much bigger. I guess there wasn't really any conclusion to that issue but for more info you can read up here.

-w33fresh

So around a year ago w33haa broke into the scene as a pub stomper. And he was given the opportunity to be invited into some league called European Elite League. Basically it was an inhouse league with the strongest players in the region inside. Games inside this league was hosted in a private lobby which meant that cheats were enabled for the host. Basically w33haa was the host and he played his fearsome Meepo and wrecked havoc by coming out with a 7mins Aghanims Scepter. He went on to win the game and drama ensued.

But some redditor viewed his replay to see how could he farm so fast and observed that he used the -refresh function multiple times during the early game. And he got exposed but his reaction was really nonchalant.

So nowadays when w33haa gets refresher orb, you know what happens.

Brutal Savage Rekt

During the Manila Major, Ehome destroyed LGD completely and thus was a new meme born. Nowadays, it's used to symbolise a total annihilation of another team. In CSGO, it is popular for the analyst desk to say Brutal Savage Rekt whenever a team 16-0 their opponents.

RTZ was right, KURO was left

It all started with some double trouble

So twitch held a competition and paired up professional gamers with a non-pro player for a mini competition. Singsing, Notail, Puppey and Dendi were invited. Puppey eventually won the competition which gave him the emote of PuppeyFace. Cyborgmatt being Puppey's partner decided to give Dendi the twitch emote instead and thus the birth of DendiFace.

FIGHT ME

I laughed my ass off when I saw the video of puppey raging and smashing the monitor with his headset just because his teammates were having fun in a custom game. What a total joke.
Basically EternalEnvy wrote a blog post regarding how team secret is actually not transparent and lashed out at Puppey knowing that the team is taking a 10% cut from all price money and the prize money payout is extremely slow. And most importantly, he indicated that Puppey was actually very childish and every time his teammates argued with him he would just tell the person "FIGHT ME"

I didn't know it was legit or not until I saw that Misery one of his ex-teammates also wrote a post to slam Puppey and that's why I can confirm that character assassination of him is real. I guess, the only secret he can keep is that he hired porn stars out of the prize money eh.

BABYRAGE

Anyone who watches too much dota (like me) will automatically know that I am referring to Artour, or you may know him by his IGN Arteezy. Basically he was discovered at a young age when he stood in for Kaipi and was later picked up by Fear and Universe to form the legendary S A D B O Y S. It was then he started to stream regularly and gained prominence in the scene.
credits: Dota Shaman
However, during many instances during his stream he may just lose the mid lane for his opponents would try their best to shut him down early game. Or he may just make some bad plays and give up totally. That is when he just rage quits the game and ends his stream. This brought about BabyRage being spammed for him. Also it is suitable as he is relatively young then (18 in 2014).

RuleFive

Since we are on the NA scene now, maybe I can just talk a little bit about our old man Fear. Basically
RuleFive looks like his face.

DansGame

My all time favourite twitch streamer the AdmiralBulldog is called into account here. He totally looks like this guy doesn't he. What a cuck. And THANKS FOR SUBBING WELCEM TO THE KEPPA KLEB!

Other than being a casual TI winner, he is actually linked with multiple other twitch streamers such as bububu, dotagasm and Helena. And it gave way to people spamming in his chat

lost sheever to odpixel ✓ FeelsBadMan lost nara to singsing ✓ FeelsBadMan lost bubu to s4 ✓ FeelsBadMan lost Helena to himself ✓ FeelsBadMan must be bulldong

Pretty recently he was featured in some coca cola competition playing rocket league with a certain swedish celebrity (Ace Wilder) too!

So to update more about the el Donger, recently there has been a scandal going on regarding the fact that one of the mods on his channel SINNEDDONUT have a low ping when playing Friday the 13th with Bulldog. On top of just having 2ms, there was also some photographic evidence pointing that maybe they were living in the same house. Giving rise to the "2ms " meme.

OLD PLAYERS

dota 2 team ehome
As most people know, china professional dota players are generally older in age (25-29). But that is not why LaNm and eLeVen decided to change their in game name. This was due to the addition of a mid player Old chicken into their roster. As a joke big dick LaNm decided to change his name into old lanm and eleven followed suit.

As a special mention LaNm is often seen in this sweater, he call it his victory sweater.
