Gonna fly off for project Taiyang a second time and this time it's a different feeling. It's no longer about us, it's about the participants. We are here to ensure things go smoothly and don't mess things up. Yesterday at hushan exchange we were too bored
End up Pinyi assigned me and Zongwei to a group then we totally messed around with them. Halfway through Jenn went to interject and they were in awe when we told them that Jenn was the Vice President of taekwondo team. They asked Jenn to demonstrate and she ran away hahahah

DAY TRIP TO PINYI HOUSE YESTERDAY. We had a short stop for lunch and had some delicious fish porridge after visiting lee Kuan yew's ancestral home

Disastrous day
WAH I lost my shit at a kid today and was wondering if it was alright. I am ok with kids playing and teasing me but the kid went to call my mom and dad names which crossed the line. I shouted at the kid in his face and he was still smiling. So I dragged him out of the class and scolded him even more. Just nice s teacher passed by and also chided him for his actions. He made the kid apologise to me while jingyang was there.
Sometimes I wonder whether me raging is a good option when kids cross the line. After all kids are kids they may think they are teasing when the teacher is affected by their words.
We went to visit the class monitress house and found out they opened a convenience store while weaving straw hats for a living

Sometimes I wonder if I take too much ownership about the Taiyang participants. Today was one such event that I gave up on them. Literally just gave up. The participant already had a sore throat and mild cold and was at risk of losing his voice before he even starts to teach. However he chose to open up a packet of instant noodle to eat. When I asked him to put it back, he argued with me that the flavor wasn't spicy enough to cause substantial harm to him. I just told him to do whatever he want
I have been doing some reflection during my free time and I was thinking whether I have a short fuse. Most of the time I am okay with people teasing me and playing around with me but when things cross the line I really put my foot down and give them a piece of my mind. It's okay to rage when it's towards kids but when dealing with people around your same age you cannot do things this way. I am wondering what can you really do to help people realise their own mistakes.
We got Jenn to take a class photo for us! The kids later went to take photo with her cos they really miss her.

Not bad la today they finally decided to do the eye exercise properly and I was impressed. It even involved neck and ears massaging maybe to relieve stress and prepare themselves better for the lesson
I was impressed by the primary 6 drawing capabilities compared to primary 4. They really drew it very cutely and I was really amazed
Today when I entered the school, the girls of my class ran away from me. I guess they are really traumatized by me screaming at the kid the other day. Looks like I lost 18 friends at one go. Luckily Wei Wei came to play with me and I 飞天 him a few times. He's really light for a primary 6 kid and it was really fun. Jenn was like saying I made a new friend today 😂

Yesterday me and Zongwei went to annoy some ducks. So we went there and started to scare ducks into the pond. After a while it got so boring we started scaring them into the pond. I chased a duck high up into the hill before I scared it. It jumped, and I am not fucking kidding, and started flapping its wings before landing into the pond with a perfect splash. After that we ran back to the house for mass dance practise
After dinner we went up the hill for some connection and I snapped a photo of the night view of the house. It was rather beautiful and I talked some shit with Zongwei as we immersed ourselves in the cold weather.

I feel like some superstar today as random primary 1 kids asked me for my signatures. My p4 kid told me that she don't want my signature and I told her I also don't want to sign for her. This love hate relationship is really fun but sadly, I am gonna leave this place soon. 😢
It suddenly became freaking cold. The 4 Exco guys went to take a walk around the neighbourhood surrounding the school for fun during lesson time. But unfortunately the convenience store don't have much snacks and we were sorely disappointed.
Day 10
After I write finish the notes I went to sleep and Pinyi was shocked that I was in bed before him. Shortly after Zongwei hopped in and we discussed the change log of dota until we fell asleep LOL. The next day me and Zongwei woke up and went to play with the ducks. After 10mins of playing we ran back up to the house cos it was too cold. We decided to suntan on the 2nd floor to absorb more heat.
After a while jingyang appeared and we went back down to the duck pond to play. I chased a few ducks up the cliff and made them jump and fly into the pond. It was hilarious and we decided it was too cold so we ran back to the house for more sun tanning. After lunch, we were boarding the bus and all hell broke loose. Jingyang wanted to play a prank whereby wanting would sit in front with the driver. But she shouted WTF and broke down even after I offered to sit beside the driver.
The whole bus ride was fucking awkward because no one could say a thing without wanting hearing us. So now jingyang is preparing for an apology towards her later. The Guys still went down to play basketball for a while until the break and a bomb was dropped on us.
Each level needs to prepare a performance for the principal tomorrow WTF

So yesterday we headed to Stanley island for some exploring and fun. It looks like some mini chatuchak market with more hongkong kids in it. The crowd here is relatively younger with mostly secondary school students fooling around here
The sea view that's really awesome. We walked around the island for an extended period of time as we just played around. To forget the things that had happened before. I am really glad that Zongwei was here with me as we went all out retard here.
We saw a Pinoy shop in the middle of the island. Looks like they are catering to an international crowd here LOL
After you stand long enough, you will become the center of attraction.
We had some fish and chips by the ocean. It was relatively expensive and took around 30mins to be served and we wolfed it down in minutes LOL
After that we went mongkok to walk around a little before heading back to TST for dinner. We initially found a dim sum restaurant but it was too expensive for our budget. So we continued walking around the whole neighbourhood and we went into random market places and discovered another side of hongkong. We then came across this ice cream van which offered 3HKD ice cream. But of course that's enough ice cream for one trip and we gave it a miss.
We finally settled down at some dim sum restaurant that was actually quite near our hotel. We ordered 8 dishes in total and had a really good meal. The 流沙包 was legit and the Mexican char siew bao was the bomb. Washing it down with some rice tea was really awesome. We then headed back to the hotel for some Dota and trash talk with hongkong people LOL. Apparently they say that the black people in our neighbourhood is gay and we should avoid them HAHAHA
After seeing all the photos of 汤圆 in Singapore, I want to get out of this country and go back home. I want to just nua in my bed, shut the curtains and have some alone time to myself. It's really true when people tell you 最终还是家最温暖.
We tried to visit the space museum after checking out but sadly it was closed until March next year. So we decided to walk around and find zongwei's lao po Bing. The stall wasn't located at SOGO and the staff was kind enough to tell us that that brand wasn't franchising at the mall anymore. End up we walked around some more and found HONG HENG. He managed to buy his 老婆饼 and I bought my 腊肉. Woohoo mission accomplished.
This was our lunch as we had to share tables with random hongkongers. They served us a bowl of soup with pork ribs inside before our main dish and it was really a satisfying meal before we leave HK

Now that Taiyang is over, I can put all those memories behind. Be it good or bad, I am glad I talked things through and have some closure. It's time to move on to the next phase of life. This is not to say I would abandon all the friends I made in Taiyang, after all my closest friend in SMU was My original Taiyang buddy. But when two different people give you comments about your character and how it causes trouble, you got to stop and think about it. Is it I am really too playful at times?
Okay now, I have 2 things to do in Singapore. Buy a fucking gift for the gift exchange during Christmas with the Chung Cheng boys. And go play DotA!!! Sounds lame but whatever. Schools gonna start soon and I really can't give a shit to anything else. My mum says that my attitude towards them has been improving, maybe cause I am putting family first nowadays. I made Zongwei walk until we found a 腊肉 shop in hongkong so my mum can cook LOL
Now it's back to improving me, and I couldn't care less about what other people fucking think.
EXCITED TO BE BACK IN SINGAPORE PART 2
太阳下山了
It has finally came down to the penultimate task of project Taiyang IV. The post OCSP. We would need to head down to the same place at kovan to have some fun time with the kids. Hopefully they will not be as naughty as before or else I will whip them into shape 🌚 okay jokes aside, I never really read through the email and I am paired up with jingyang to handle a group of kids on our own. The question to ask ourselves it this: what can possibly go wrong?
SO ME AND JINGYANG WAS IN CHARGE OF A GROUP OF 6 kids. Apparently some of them doesn't have tuition for the day so they will just leave when their parents come and fetch them from the center. We were playing snakes and ladders with the kids and halfway through a kid threw tantrum when jingyang rejected his answer for a question. Apparently the kid answered "shit" when JY asked for a word that stats with s. So the kid just rage quit and JY and I looked at each other with a smirk on our faces
Soon the group was reduced to just 3 kids and me and jingyang was really having fun with them. This girl kept talking to me and told me her birthday was the 25 of January which was next Monday. She then asked me t wish her happy birthday which of course I did after her constant pestering. We then made then write letters to the China kids while we gave them the letters they had already written. Afterwards was the debrief before all of us scattered and me Jermaine and Zongwei went for dinner.

Freaking Zongwei ordered something called ya sai something one. So I legit thought that there was duck inside due to there being a "ya" in the dish name. And I didn't know that it was wild vegetable hot pot LOL 😱😱 freaking funny as we 3 bitched about Smu in general before Zongwei went to buy some bubble tea at cup walker. We then went to popular to buy my birthday card for my friend's bday next week. Friends for 9 years still want card burden max. Afterwards we split up and went out own ways.
