SMU everyday

The struggles of University life has finally hit me. You would have lesser and lesser time being at home and more time spent outside. And in my case, it has been to school. I have been to school 6 days out of 7 this week, with me only lepaking at home on monday.

Saturday was an awesome day as I went to school to study with Heng Fu. That burden didn't know SMU was close to city hall and doubted my words whether Raffles City had a Subway branch. Anyways, he bought up some nasty looking Nasi Lemak and beraded me when he saw the Subway stall as we were about to leave the mall.
Malay trying to be hardworking, but truthfully he's a nice fella

We basically walked the whole of SMU to scout for a spot to study. Apparently this is really a mugger school for it was crowded with people at just 11am in the morning. We traced a path from the school of business to the school of econs before we found some seats with power plug, since this Heng Fu is a burden and wants to use his computer, and settled down.

Within minutes, some guy from beside our table asked me to look after his and his presumably girlfriend's stuff for him as they went to takeaway some food. I obliged to his request as i believed in good karma. It was repaid almost immediately as I received a call from the Project Namaste group. Apparently i messed up the dates of the interview and I was supposed to have the interview on saturday instead of Sunday.
This project is actually HUGE

Thank god I was in school studying on that faithful day as I proceeded to my interview. I had a hard time sourcing for GSR 2-2 since the school didn't have a map for Study Rooms. When i finally found it, they were already interviewing someone else. I thought my shot at it was over until the person in charge told me it was my turn in 15mins.

This was the opportunity i required as I went into the interview, cracking awkward jokes and answering their questions to the best of my ability. They asked me quite an insightful question on whether I would prefer to be a follower or a leader. To me, they are two essential parts of finishing anything in life. My answer was,"For me now, since i am not very aware of what is happening in the project right now, I would prefer to be a follower. Once i get to know more about this project, I would gladly accept the role of the leader to facilitate the newcomers."
I know I cannot judge my own interview but by the nodding of the interviewers I hope I had secured myself a slot in this huge project.

We headed to Vivocity to catch the premiere of Rurounin Kenshin. For those who don't know what it is, it is a real life adaptation of the famous anime Samurai X. It was like a blast to the past as I relieved childhood memories of Kenshin Himura beating the crap out of all the bad guys. Luckily the series didn't end as I discovered there would be the part 3 since it ended as a cliffhanger. The fight scenes were awesome and I am already looking forward to the next part of the movie.

Sunday came and our plans to go climbing was cancelled due to Lim Pin falling sick. I initiated a change of plans to go studying at SMU instead of climbing and Reynold and Zuhair obliged. So we met up at Plaza Sing for lunch first before heading down to SMU to study. As expected we spent 2 hours on lunch and whatsapp jacking before we came down to business.
Another Malay trying to be hardworking
Apparenly SMU requires Matric Card to enter the school premises which included GSR and SR. However there is a flaw in their system whereby multiple individuals can enter these restricted areas by going into the building through the lift. So we three went up and hunted for a General Study Room.

It was an awesome room with free aircon and tables and chair to boot. It even had blinders to keep out the outside distraction. We spent the rest of the afternoon there studying and jacking phones. It felt like a deja vu to me. A room with blinders felt like the Temasek Lounge we used to break into during out term in TJ and the company just felt right, the three idiots who always tried to get each other into trouble.

Go Green Day 2011
Prom 2011
Sometimes i wonder if life was easier then.
