How often in this world do you feel cheated?
How often do you feel you know someone and yet you actually don't?
How often do you get disappointed in people?
Really, you think you know people. And then you realise, you don't really like humans. This was a follow up from the other day's post because I can. I had a conversation with a friend and realised some people are also like that.
Condescending in their tone and always putting down your hopes and dreams. They are not pessimist per say, but let's just say they are realist. Too real of a realist. They are stuck in this mindset whereby they believe the real world is intact and would not change, they believe that dreams are just crappy shit people invented to give that little glimmer of hope to worse-performing human beings.
Of course you can always say I generalise but the said people who put down others generally have better grades, and the interaction with these people of a higher-tier GPA were not always fantastic. Having a group meeting with them is like entering a shooting chamber, except you are the target board and not the one firing the rifle.
They find joy in putting down people but honestly, I just believe this is a show of insecurity. They are insecure about their position at the top of the food-chain and put down their "competition" in order to make sure they stay at the peak. To be brutally honest, these people aren't fit to be human.
Yes, there are nice people who are smart too. I had the privilege to work with some of them and it was a pleasure to work with them. Despite them being smart and all, they were willing to offer help and guide us along. The best thing to do is to provide assistance when we need them and they are there when you need them. During a group project they would be understanding even though you are working under them. They guide the team along in a way you don't feel left out and that's the way an intellectual human being should be. Not constantly putting people down just to justify your placing in life.
Back to the topic of how often we get disappointed in people. You know, at the start of projects they aren't like this. They are generally quite friendly with the proper basic manners. But when work starts and they get stressed, they sort of undergo some sort of metamorphosis which I cannot seem to understand (Please enlighten me). Their words get harsh, they get easily annoyed and basically their whole personality change. I am even afraid that they have schizophrenia as they seem to have split personalities. It was pretty scary and intriguing but most of the time it's more of suffocating because they are never satisfied. They would put down your contribution and sometimes, even put down your ambitions.

Putting down people's ambitions is really the most fucked up messed up thing you can do to a person. You can say that they are not doing a good job, you can say that they are not righting their wrong, but never should you ever shit on people's dreams. It's what they want to do in the future or what they aspire to be. You cannot simply condone something like that with like simple words from you. Who are you to put down their dreams? How would you feel when people tell you with your high GPA you are still gonna be a shit in society. You wouldn't feel good would you? But I don't understand why you can continue to keep discriminating people based on their grades. Really, I am not just pissed off, I am just disappointed in you. This makes me believe humanity is fucked with these people as our future leaders.
However, in our society today there exist these bunch of people who are really nice, and I classify them under a good kind of stupid. Academically wise they don't always do the best, they don't always hold the high positions in CCAs, and they lead a normal life. Study, hang out with friends and sleep. That's about it. They don't really have much ambition but they have their own drive and motivation. Most people would say these people who lack ambition are stupid, but I believe this is a good kind of stupid.
They entail the basic rule of humanity whereby everyone is equal. They do not put down your dreams and congratulate you on having an aim in life. You may say it is because they do not understand our society much that's why they would dance in the joy of you having your ambitions. You may think, hey aren't you stupid also?
Of course, then why else am I writing a piece like this. I don't have the drive and ambition to strike it big in this world. I don't really feel that I am a person to change the world. I am just a happy-go-lucky person trying to survive in this harsh reality. People like my friend and I are there to help you out in your life. You may think of us as stepping stones to success but we will always be there. We would be there during your darkest and saddest times. But we would also be there for your happy moments. We would be there to bask in your happiness and joy when you accomplish something. We would never put you down. We would only shower you with congratulations.
We are the kind of people you would think are stupid. Yes, we may not be as smart as you academically wise. We may not be as good a leader as you. We may not be able to influence people like you do. But down to the core, we are better human beings than you.
因为最终还是会做人的人比会做工的人更让别人尊重.
It's alright to be a little stupid from time to time, just make sure it's a good kind of stupid.
